Carey, a former top fashion model who stands at nearly 5'10" she was a favorite of American fashion houses like Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. Her father is a renowned geologist who was voted Scientist of the Year in 1979, at the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey was brought up throughout the world as a consequence of her father's work. After she graduated from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, she began to do modeling as a side. This caught the eye of an agent from Ford Model Agency New York. The model briefly studied and lived in Paris before returning in New York. Her modeling as well as her college career took off and she was featured on Glamour's, Vogue's and many other magazine covers. While she was modeling, she was a full time student who was pursuing a degree in literature at New York University. In the following years she discovered an interest in acting. She was a student at Neighborhood Playhouse New York. In 1986 she began her career as an actor with a small part on the show "Club Paradise" in the film "Club Paradise" with Robin Williams. In her spare time she loves skiing, windsurfing, climbing rocks as well as whitewater rafting.
