Awkwafina
Awkwafina started out as a American rapper and singer, releasing sly tracks that tackled questions of race and sexual identity with a comedic twist. Before expanding to Hollywood her career, she could perform a variety of tracks. Nora Lum was born to Chinese-Korean immigrants who resided in Forest Hills Queens. Her first encounter with music was via the trumpet. In addition to classical and jazz, Nora Lum began studying hip-hop in her teens. While in the school, she focused on the field of journalism as well as women's studies. She was also a student of Mandarin for a while in Beijing. The focus on music until after she finished her studies. Her My Vag song, My Vag which was her response to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick, became a popular viral sensation on the Internet and eventually appeared on her first LP Yellow Ranger. The other viral hit songs included queef, a body positive track and the eye-catching NYC Bitche$ hometown tour. The single that debuted was directly connected to Awkwafinas NYC, her guide to travel in 2015. After a successful career as a performer, she took on the role of actor. Alongside early TV shows like Girl Code and Tawk - she appeared in movies Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. In the year 2018, her breakout roles included Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP came out in June.
